Mentees / Students


Raising the Bar is a mentorship program designed for 3Ls who are preparing for the bar examination process.  The objective of the program is to assist students increase their first time bar passage rate.  There is no minimum time reqiurement involved with mentoring.  Mentors and mentees will be matched based on a set of established criteria including the state where the mentee is sitting for the bar examination.  The student and mentor will establish the parameters for the mentoring relationship.  The mentoring relationship officially concludes AFTER bar examination results are released.  Mentors and mentees are encoruaged to stay in touch beyond the examination process.

Types of assistance offered to mentees includes but is not limited to:

  • Giving advice on time management and testing taking skills
  • Lending bar materials
  • Acting as a cheerleader (source of encouragement)
